The expanded routes to Milan-Bergamo and Naples continue to function under the established codeshare partnership between flydubai and international flag carrier Emirates. The cooperative arrangement allows passengers to access integrated travel itineraries, unified single-ticket purchasing options, synchronized flight schedules, and through-checked baggage handling across both airline networks. By leveraging the joint network through the central Dubai aviation hub, travelers connecting from Italian airports gain streamlined access to popular long-haul destinations across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, including direct connectivity to Kenya, Oman, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Zanzibar.
As the aviation industry increasingly embraces financial technology innovations, Emirates, a leading airline, has introduced a new digital payment method for its customers. The carrier announced on Tuesday the launch of a cryptocurrency checkout feature, allowing eligible travelers to pay for flights using digital assets via its official website and mobile app. The official Emirates News Agency confirmed that Emirates and Crypto.com have established a new payment option, stemming from a strategic memorandum of understanding initially signed in July 2025.
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi announced Tuesday that the iconic Guggenheim Abu Dhabi museum will officially open its doors on December 11, 2026, on Saadiyat Island. Confirmed by Emirates News Agency, this milestone signifies the opening of Guggenheim Abu Dhabi on 11th December 2026, representing a significant step in the UAE’s evolution as a leading international center for contemporary art and cross-cultural dialogue. Designed by the late Pritzker Prize-winning architect Frank Gehry, the museum’s 80,000-square-metre structure is situated within the Saadiyat Cultural District and stands as the largest museum within the global network managed by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation.
Throughout the first half of the year, East Asian neighboring countries continued to serve as primary contributors to Korea’s tourism growth. Data shows mainland China remained the leading source of inbound visitors, with 650,000 arrivals in June, also recording the fastest year-on-year growth among major source countries. The cumulative count for Chinese visitors from January to June reached 3.21 million. Japan followed as the second-largest inbound market, with 350,000 visitors in June, leading to a six-month total of 1.95 million travelers. Meanwhile, Taiwan maintained its third-place position, with 220,000 arrivals in June and a total of 1.15 million visitors over the first half of the year.
