Talks centered on enhancing cooperation across key fields such as investment, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, clean energy, sustainability, and infrastructure development. Both sides reviewed the outcomes of existing joint projects and highlighted the importance of ongoing initiatives in areas aligned with their shared development priorities. The meeting reflected the UAE and France’s commitment to maintaining a strong framework for collaboration built on mutual respect and shared interests.

President Sheikh Mohamed and President Macron also addressed regional and international developments of common concern, emphasizing the value of continued dialogue and coordination on matters that promote global stability and security. The two leaders underscored the significance of international partnerships in addressing global challenges such as energy transition and environmental sustainability, which remain focal points of cooperation between Abu Dhabi and Paris.

UAE–France partnership continues across multiple fields

Attending the meeting from the UAE side were Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; as well as several ministers and senior government officials. The French delegation accompanying President Macron included a number of ministers and senior officials, underscoring the comprehensive scope of bilateral engagement between the two nations.

Following the official talks, President Sheikh Mohamed hosted a luncheon in honor of President Macron and the accompanying delegation. The meeting provided an opportunity to reaffirm the enduring strength of UAE–France relations and the consistent development of institutional partnerships across multiple domains. President Macron arrived in Abu Dhabi earlier on Sunday, where he was welcomed at the Presidential Flight by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, along with several senior officials.

    Bilateral cooperation reflects mutual priorities

The French President’s working visit reflects the ongoing momentum of diplomatic exchanges between the two nations, highlighting a sustained dialogue that has characterized UAE-France relations over the past decades. The UAE and France share a longstanding partnership that extends across economic, cultural, and strategic fields. France was among the first European nations to establish a comprehensive relationship with the UAE, marked by significant cooperation in education, defense, and renewable energy. The two countries also collaborate closely through international platforms to promote innovation, cultural exchange, and sustainable development.

Over the years, the partnership has expanded to include joint ventures in clean energy and environmental initiatives, reflecting both nations’ focus on sustainability and technological advancement. The relationship has also been strengthened through cultural collaborations such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi, which symbolizes the growing cultural and educational ties between the two nations. The working visit reinforced the commitment of both sides to maintaining regular high-level consultations and cooperation across political, economic, and cultural domains. The discussions held in Abu Dhabi continue a pattern of strategic dialogue between the UAE and France, aimed at ensuring consistent coordination on shared priorities and collaborative development projects that support both countries’ long-term goals. – By Content Syndication Services.
