Despite injury setbacks in the latter half of 2023, the Kazakhstani player has made a successful return to competitive form, positioning herself as a key contender for this year’s championship. Joining Rybakina is last year’s finalist, Daria Kasatkina, who is aiming to improve on her runner-up finish. Kasatkina has maintained a consistent presence in the top rankings and remains a formidable competitor in the upcoming tournament.

Also returning to the draw is 2023 champion Belinda Bencic of Switzerland. Bencic, who took a brief hiatus due to injury, is set to make her comeback and will seek to add another title to her career achievements. The Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open has rapidly gained prominence on the WTA calendar, attracting top-ranked players and providing a platform for rising talent.
