SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia continues to expand its European route offerings from its hub in Sharjah. The airline has announced plans to begin nonstop flights connecting Sharjah and Gdansk starting on Dec. 14, 2026. This new service will link Sharjah International Airport with Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, operating five times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Ticket sales for these flights are already accessible via the airline’s sales channels.

Air Arabia sets December start for Sharjah Gdansk route
Air Arabia expands UAE-Poland links with five weekly Sharjah-Gdansk flights.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return flight, G9 0629, departs Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and reaches Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the next day. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are scheduled to leave Sharjah at 8:15 a.m., with the return flights departing Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m. All listed times are local.

The addition of Gdansk will make it Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah, joining Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport. The airline is also set to commence four weekly flights to Katowice on Dec. 17, 2026, operating on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. These new routes will expand Air Arabia’s direct connectivity in Poland beyond its current two-city network, covering Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, and Warsaw.

Gdansk becomes part of Air Arabia’s growing Polish route map

The Gdansk route forms part of Air Arabia’s broader European network from Sharjah. Its current destination list includes Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. The airline has also announced plans to add Frankfurt and Katowice to this network. Gdansk provides travelers in Poland’s Baltic coast region with a direct scheduled link to the UAE via Sharjah.

Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, emphasized that Gdansk’s addition marks an important milestone in the airline’s expanding Polish network. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, highlighted the strategic significance of the direct Sharjah connection for the Pomeranian area, which uses Sharjah as a transfer hub to destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Gdansk Airport also serves the Tri-City area, including Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, as well as other communities in northern Poland.

Five weekly flights link Sharjah and Gdansk

Air Arabia operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft throughout its route network. The airline has opened bookings for the Gdansk route through its website, call center, and travel agencies. The schedule designates G9 0628 and G9 0629 for the Monday and Saturday flights. The flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will operate as G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. These five weekly rotations will provide nonstop service in both directions between the two airports.

The launch of Gdansk service on Dec. 14 will precede the start of Air Arabia’s Katowice flights by three days. With the existing connections to Krakow and Warsaw, the addition of Gdansk will bring the airline’s Polish network to four destinations. Passengers from Gdansk will have five nonstop options each week in both directions, according to the current published schedule. As of Aug. 26, 2026, Air Arabia continues to list the Dec. 14 launch date and the schedule of five weekly flights between Sharjah and Gdansk.
